Annual Pass Terms & Conditions

  • Your Annual Pass is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.

  • The named passholder is entitled to unlimited entry to the museum/car hall during normal operating hours for the duration of their membership.

  • Guests accompanying the passholder who do not hold an Annual Pass must pay the applicable museum entry fee.

  • Passholders may receive exclusive invitations to special events designed for Annual Pass members.

  • The museum reserves the right to revoke an Annual Pass in cases of inappropriate conduct. In such instances, a partial refund may be considered on a case by case basis.

Gift Card Terms & Conditions

  • Gift cards purchased through our site are digital and will be emailed to the address provided at checkout.

  • Gift cards are valid for 3 years from the date of purchase.

  • Gift cards can be redeemed online or in person at Southward Car Museum for museum entry, shop purchases, refreshments, or other eligible items.

  • Gift cards are not refundable

  • Gift Cards are not redeemable for cash and no cash change will be given.

  • Lost or stolen gift cards will not be replaced.

  • Expired gift cards cannot be redeemed.

  • Southward Car Museum is not responsible for unauthorised use of a gift card.

Museum Entry Terms & Conditions

  • Entry is subject to payment of the applicable admission fee unless otherwise stated. Tickets are valid only for the date of purchase unless prearranged.

  • Visitors must adhere to posted opening hours. Final entry is 30 minutes before closing time.

  • Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Supervision is the responsibility of the accompanying adult.

  • Personal photography is allowed unless signage indicates otherwise. Flash photography, tripods, and commercial photography require prior approval.

  • Visitors are expected to behave respectfully. Disruptive behaviour or damage to exhibits may result in removal from the premises without a refund.

  • Food is not permitted in exhibition areas. Please enjoy snacks and meals in the designated Coffee Shop seating or outdoor picnic areas.

  • Pets are not permitted, with the exception of registered service animals.

  • The museum is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings. Visitors enter the museum and use facilities at their own risk.

  • Groups of 10 or more should book in advance to ensure availability and smooth entry.

  • The museum reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any person who does not comply with these terms or who poses a risk to staff, property, or other guests.

Online Store Terms & Conditions

  • By placing an order through our online store, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before making a purchase.

  • 1. Pricing & Payment
    - All prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include GST.
    - Full payment must be received before your order is processed.

  • 2. Shipping & Delivery
    - Orders are typically processed within 2 business days.
    - Shipping is available within New Zealand only.
    - Delivery times may vary depending on your location and courier service.
    - You will receive tracking details once your order has been dispatched.

  • 3. Click & Collect
    - Orders marked as “Click & Collect” will be available for pickup at the Southward Car Museum Reception once you have received confirmation that your order is ready to collect.
    - Please bring your order confirmation or ID when collecting.

  • 4. Returns & Exchanges
    - We accept returns for faulty or damaged items in accordance with the Consumer Guarantees Act.
    - Change-of-mind returns or exchanges must be made within 14 days of purchase. Items must be unused, in original packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase.
    - Return shipping costs are the buyer’s responsibility unless the item is faulty.
    - Refunds for change-of-mind returns will be issued less the original shipping cost.

  • 5. Product Availability
    - All items are subject to availability. If a product becomes unavailable after you’ve placed your order, we will contact you with options or a full refund.

  • 6. Privacy
    - We respect your privacy. Your personal information is used only for order processing and communication and is not shared with third parties.  Please see our Privacy Policy.
